There are many ways we have responded to the pandemic to keep you safe and vaccinating our audiologists is now another tool we are using.
As part of the UK-wide vaccination rollout, which began in December, our audiologists are classified as essential healthcare workers. This is one of the government’s target priority groups for the vaccine. The process has now begun to vaccinate our team at centres throughout Kent.
Our managing director Mark Scutchings, who, as a practising audiologist is on the frontline covering emergency and specialist clinics, said after receiving his jab: “We take our responsibility in ensuring the safety of our patients extremely seriously.
” We have done a lot within our clinics to keep everyone as safe as possible, especially with many of our patients being elderly or vulnerable. By vaccinating our frontline staff we have one more tool to use in our fightback against coronavirus.”
With millions more jabs to go, the early signs in the UK figures are encouraging and it is hoped the vaccine rollout will help the country escape further lockdowns and save many more lives.
We all still need to be vigilant and our patients need to continue to follow our clinical protocols, which include:
1 Wear a face covering
We have all the necessary PPE for our patients and staff. Face masks are mandatory for patients in all our clinics
2 Follow social distancing
We are following social distancing requirements in our clinics and reception areas
3 Answer screening questions accurately
We ask screening questions for every patient booking an appointment to check they have no symptoms of COVID
4 Let us check your temperature
We have hand sanitiser stations and temperature checks as you enter the clinic
5 Follow the safety rules
We are continuing with our usual high standards in infection control, with regular deep cleans in between patients. All surfaces are cleaned throughout the day.
Can I visit Hearbase during the third lockdown?
